Questions & Answers.
What are your strengths?
How do you apply technology to real-world problems?
Rarely does technology magically solve business problems all by itself. Technology is one part of an ecosystem that also includes people, process and data. I prefer to take a holistic approach by understanding the issue(s) to be solved first by talking to people, looking at processes, data quality and available technology options. This approach helps ensure a sustainable solution that provides the best value to those who use it.
How have you helped people grow and become leaders?
I believe it starts with me working to be the best leader I can be. Through a combination of influence and practical guidance, I help people connect to their passions and identify the path forward while encouraging them along the way. Past mentees have become people and thought leaders, and I'm proud to have played a part in their journey.
How do you approach a consulting engagement?
Each engagement is different, but clearly understanding the customer's needs is the starting point. This includes understanding the challenge(s) from multiple angles: people, process, data, technology, external or internal pressures, and organizational culture. I appreciate the opportunity to partner with key customer resources to ensure organizational context is taken into account as well as a smooth transition into the customer's organization.
Do you have international experience?
I have been fortunate enough to work internationally either in-country or remotely supporting, including:
- Integrity & Honesty – Engendering trust. Speaking in a genuine and sincere way.
- Judgement – Examining from different angles and thinking things through. Weighing evidence fairly with a willingness to change my mind.
- Leadership – Encouraging a group to get things done while maintaining good relationships. Organizing activities and seeing that they happen.
- Humor – Enjoy laughing and bring smiles to other people.
